About Berenice
Berenice is the ultimate explorer and huntress. Her favorite hobby is going for walks and bird watching. She has an obsession with bags, lasers, and dislikes Norman because she believes herself to be the Alpha of the pack. Over the time of Berenice growing up with us, she’s grown to be a lap cat with only my husband and I. She’s extremely affectionate with us, but skittish with others. She’s territorial, and a bit grumpy when her children don’t give her the space she wants.
While her kittens were young, she was a wonderful mother, chirping constantly, purring, bathing them, and letting them nurse till 14 weeks in age. We have decided not to breed Berenice again, as finding a match to mate her with has been a struggle, and she deserves to have peace as a happy spayed girl in our home. Since her spay, she’s been more affectionate towards our other cats such as her sons, from litter A, and more affectionate with people.
I consider Berenice to be more feral out of our cats, as she’s more of a hunter, happy to be outdoors constantly exploring on her harness, and enjoys her space. She has moments where she will request affectionate, hopping up on a surface so she can stare you directly in the eyes. If she feels ignored, she will meow like a kitten, and proceed to walk in front of your face till you take a hint. She’s a soft spoken, Queen of the house.
